We supported making Wyoming a “universal coverage” state for childhood vaccinations. Wyoming ranks 11th among all states for the immunization gap, where children aged 19-35 months are without all of the recommended vaccinations. Over 35% of Wyoming children have not received of the recommended vaccinations. We believe that Wyoming can do better. We supported legislation that would make Wyoming a universal childhood vaccine state, which would allow the state to purchase vaccines at bulk discount rates for kids covered by private health insurance.
